Primed & Prepped Young Men on the Move!

SKYLINE COLLEGE

The students participated in a field trip to Skyline College to observe a Business Plan Competition with students from The Youth Entrepreneurship Program (YEP). What an incredible opportunity for them to see students compete for the winning prize of $5k. "I hope to go to college and find out what I'm passionate about,  like the people who presented. Everyone who won I had originally thought would win. Hopefully, I can experience events like these when I'm older. This was a fun field trip," says P&P student  Tristen.

A Proud YEP Winner! P&P students had an opportunity to congratulate and talk to all the participants.

In the Kitchen with Chef Berlin

Chef Berlin runs a tight ship. The young men come prepared and ready to work.
When Chef Berlin speaks...everybody listens!
Fresh Veggies are a staple in the classroom. On this day, they made veggie sandwiches with grilled cauliflower, roasted zucchini, portabella mushrooms, eggplant, green onions, basil, cilantro, lettuce, and various cheeses on french bread. Can we say "YUMMY?"
 Excellent Job, P&P!!!

 Community Partnering

URBAN ED ACADEMY provides educational services that help 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students succeed academically and become knowledgeable and productive citizens with the support of their parents, families, schools, and communities.

Chef Berlin gives Urban Ed Academy students and parents a brief overview of what goes on in the Kitchen when training the P&P students.

P&P student is making homemade whip cream to the top of the assorted fresh berries planned for desert while Chef Berlin elicited exclamations of approval from the audience!

Parents and students wait patiently in line for dinner.

P&P students serve their guests baked chicken, macaroni, and cheese with sauteed collard, turnip, & mustard greens, cabbage, and red pepper flakes.

Everyone was enjoying the food and fresh-squeezed Lemonade!

Clean-up time is a team effort, and everyone does their part!

P&P looks forward to serving you!
