WHO WILL BE P&P'S IRON CHEF?
We had a visit from Tannis Reinhertz, CCSF Department Chair of Culinary Arts and Hospitality Studies
during our career awareness session. Her visit exasperated the
competitiveness of these two students so they challenged one another to an Iron Chef Competition. The Big Face Off!
Red Team
Blue Team
Teams were set and posters created to reflect each team! The Red Team and The Blue Team.
The room was being prepared for the competition. Kevin and John made sure everything was in place and ready to go!

The student chefs where from InterContinental Hotel's in Buckhead Atlanta, Chicago Magnificent Mile, New York Times Square, San Juan Puerto Rico and San Francisco. It was a real honor for P&P students to be invited to this competition immediately following theirs. It gave them the opportunity to see it done on a completely different level. The ice sculptor in the photo was breath taking in person!
Before the contest began, Peter Koehler, InterContinental GeneralManager, acknowledged the winners of P&P Iron Chef Competition.
Chef Berlin made it a point to work around each Chef's station with P&P to give details about the food they were sampling to help them make educated decisions while they were voting for the winning Chef.
The food was fantastic and P&P were the special guests with all eyes on them!
Casey Neuburger, Director of Human Resources (with tie), is a huge P&P supporter!
The $5k winner is Victor Bonano Ortiz, student chef from Puerto Rico
P&P students all voted for Chef Ortiz so they were thrilled when he won!
The other student chefs take a well deserved bow!
As the evening winded down, P&P were presented with gift from the InterContinental! They were thrilled because each box had their names on it which impressed touched the young men deeply!
